So, finally, we come to the most iconic building in America. Lit up for night, as usual. But not, as I thought, decorated for the holiday.
A cool art museum is on the same block, and the massive US Treasury.
Around the corner is the gorgeous Washington Hotel, with the giant "W" out front.
Then, behind the back, is the official Christmas tree. There was caroling, and smaller state trees, and a model railroad going around the big one. Very nice!!
The "vegetable" poster was in where we ate dinner, Chop't. A fantastic, I mean I cannot express enough how fabulous it was, fresh make-your-own salad place. Choices included grains, local produce and cheeses, and 5 choices of greens! I thought the poster was magnificent.
😀
That was the end of our long day. The next day we headed to the Capitol for our tour, among other things.
