3am in a galaxy far, far away ...

Groggily and bleary-eyed she eats her bland, sub-nutritious, free hotel breakfast.  She is up and showered and eating earlier even than on work days. Why, you ask? Today is the day of her bucket-list train trip, perhaps she has an early start? Perhaps she has many last-minute errands to run, like she did most of this week?

Perhaps it was internal and she was too excited to sleep? Or, her mind was elsewhere and she could not bring it into the present to relax?

Maybe even she is a light sleeper and the fact that both her husband and her eldest stepson were also awake at 3am contributed to her being awake. One being particularly move`y in the bed, and the other being move'y around the room - going to the bathroom at least 15 times in 3 hours

What do you think?

Sigh.

No matter. For, you see, I am in a unique position to know the truth. Would you care to be enlightened and perhaps entertained? Good, I shall tell you.

It all started in a galaxy far, far away ...

Ami Boreri opens her eyes suddenly at 3am, unsure what woke her or what time it is.

Without moving, she scans the darkened room and sees a figure moving around. Who?

The silhouette is unmistakable; it's her soon-to-be teenage stepson, trying to be quiet.

Then, suddenly, the body next to her moves. Her husband no longer sleeps.

That's 3 out of 4 people in the hotel room now awake. What time is it? Time to get up?

No! It's 3am! They have hours before they have to get up before having to catch the train!

And, there are only 2 quick errands to run before dropping off the car, no rush there!

So, she does what everyone else does in the middle of the night, then climbs back in bed.

Then, it begins. The movie starts playing over and over in her head. She can't stop it.

The sequel to the trilogy that helped define her childhood was OUT-FREAKING-STANDING!!

They are so close to the orginal's look, feel and vibe, that you'd swear Lucas made them.

Boreri is fully invested in the new, young characters - particularly Rey, bad ass that she is.

Slowly her mind returns to the present and she begins to feel that lovely drifting feeling.

Then it happens. Her husband moves. No more drifting.

She clears her mind, breathes deep and begins to succumb to sleep again.

Again she is held back. The soon-to-be teenager is up again. The bathroom again.

Repeat the above for 3 hours. She tries desperately to get more rest. She needs it!

However,  it is not the will of the force that she sleep more than 6 hours this night though.

Finally, as it approaches daylight, she gives in. She's up. And, so, the day begins.
