We are doing last minute errands, packing, and trying to stay present at work. We are leaving this Saturday, the 19th, and are SO excited!! Here is the layout of the adventure we've planned:
- Drive to Albuquerque on Saturday and see the new Star Wars movie
- Take the train from Albuquerque to Chicago, leaving Sunday and arriving Monday
- Take the train from Chicago to Washington, DC, leaving Monday and arriving Tuesday
- Explore DC on Tuesday and Wednesday, including a tour of the Capitol Building
- Fly from DC to Boston on Christmas Eve morning
- Spend a few days with Kurt's family in southern Massachusetts
- Head to my parents house in Kennebunkport, ME, on Sunday the 27th
- Have our New England wedding reception at my folks' house on that Sunday
- Visit with my folks for a couple of days
- Head back to Massachusetts on the 29th and drop off my stepsons with their mom
- Spend the next few days visiting with Massachusetts family and friends
- Fly home on Albuquerque on New Years' Day, and drive home from there
Whew!
Both train trips included bedroom accommodations ... something that has been on my BUCKET LIST for years! Woo hoo! I'm not sure who is more excited, my boys or me!!!

Also, I'm not sure what excites me more ... the adventure or the sequel to the trilogy that I grew up with and can quote much of from heart. Let's put it this way, when I saw the first teaser trailer, I cried when I heard Han's voice. Yeah, it's like that!
